Every feeding journey is welcome here

Infant feeding is one of the most loaded topics in early parenthood. There is a lot of noise, from the internet, from well-meaning family members, from social media, about what you should do and what it means if you can't. I want to cut through that noise and give you straightforward, evidence-based support for whatever feeding path makes sense for your family.

Lactation support is for families who are breastfeeding or chestfeeding and hitting challenges, families who planned to breastfeed but are questioning that choice, families who are formula feeding and want to feel confident in that decision, and families doing some combination of the two. All of it is welcome here. The only goal is a baby who is fed and a parent who feels supported, not judged.

Practical help for the challenges no one warned you about

Latch problems are the most common reason families reach out, but they're rarely the whole story. A shallow latch is often connected to positioning, the baby's mouth anatomy, the parent's anatomy, or simply the fact that both people are brand new to this and need time and hands-on guidance to find their rhythm. I can observe a feeding session, offer real-time positioning adjustments, and help you build an approach that actually works for your body and your baby.

Supply is another area where families frequently struggle alone longer than they should. Whether you're worried about low supply, dealing with oversupply and engorgement, trying to build a freezer stash, or navigating returning to work with a pump, there are practical strategies that help, and you shouldn't have to find them through a Reddit thread at 3 a.m.

For families choosing formula, I can help you understand preparation guidelines, paced bottle feeding, feeding schedules, and the signs of hunger and fullness in a bottle-fed baby. For families managing a complex feeding journey, nipple shields, supplemental nursing systems, donor milk, I'll meet you exactly where you are and help you troubleshoot as you go. When a situation calls for an IBCLC or a pediatric feeding specialist, I'll tell you and help you get there.

You get to decide how your baby is fed

Feeding decisions are yours to make, full stop. My job is to give you accurate information, hands-on support, and the space to make those decisions without guilt. If you start out planning to breastfeed and decide it's not right for your family, that is a valid and informed choice that I will support completely. If you're formula feeding and someone has made you feel bad about that, I want to help you rebuild your confidence.

I also understand that feeding challenges can carry genuine emotional weight, especially when they come alongside postpartum hormone shifts, sleep deprivation, and recovery from birth. I hold space for that. Getting help with feeding is not failure; it's one of the most useful things you can do in those early weeks.
